30th Kootenay Boundary Regional Art
Exhibition
November 20th, 2009 to February 28th, 2010
Welcome to the 30th Annual Kootenay Boundary
Regional Exhibition! Traditionally, the
Kootenay Boundary Regional exhibition has
been an annual themed art exhibition, hosted
by a different community in the West
Kootenay each year. The exhibition is an
open call exhibition where works are
exhibited to the public and jurors provide
feedback to artists through individual
critiques and by selecting works to receive
awards. This year, for the 30th anniversary,
we broke tradition and embraced technology
to offer an online exhibition though which
we can share the rich culture of the West
Kootenay with the world. Information about
next year’s exhibition, hosted by the
Revelstoke Arts Council at the Revelstoke
Visual Arts Centre, will be available in
early 2010.
Many thanks to this year’s
jurors, Richard Reid and Paul Crawford,
as well as to the generosity of our
sponsors: Cowan’s Office Supplies, Island
Mountain Arts and the Province of BC through
the BC Arts Council. Thanks also to the
artists, who have provided their “personal
best” for you to experience.
